Following the success of forums around the world Cassims International together with partners SDL Atlas USA, Atlas Germany and Xrite are pleased to organize a day on evaluation of Comfort Performance of Textiles.
The one day conference is aimed at providing important updates on new test methodologies and updated standards as well as a comprehensive understanding of the definitions and practicalities of quantifying comfort and performance of apparel, and textiles. Key speakers would also talk about latest standards and updates to test methods in the evaluation of colourfastness of textiles and the evolution of colour measurement and the future of colour assessment in Total Appearance Capture..

Meet the Speakers..
Mr John Crocker has spent almost 20
years in the textile quality control industry, with experience in manufacturing,
testing, and technical innovation. As SDL Atlas Business Development Manager,
John is responsible for working with customer requirements, standards
development, laboratory set ups, and installation and training.
Mr. Felix Schmollgruber studied printing and media technology at the
university of applied sciences in Munich, Germany and started his career in June
2001 at GretagMacbeth in Martinsried, Germany. At this time he took the
challenge to turn his back on printing and media and focus on industrial colour
and appearance measurement in the paints-, plastics- and automotive industry.
After all together six successful years in sales at GretagMacbeth and X-Rite he
changed into the European headquarters of the freshly merged company in
Switzerland to support and train customers in technical support and application
engineering for the industrial products of the new X-Rite.
Today Felix leads the EMEA application engineering and technical support team at
X-Rite Europe with an 18 month stint in product management in between.
Ms.
Tanja Helmling is Area Manager of Atlas Material Testing Technology GmbH in
Germany. After studies at Würzburg University and European School of Language
and Economics she has been responsible for the support of Atlas in application
questions and customer trainings since 2000.
Today she is responsible Area Manager for India and
neighbouring countries, as well as Middle East, Austria and Switzerland.
Mr. Wojciech Zielenkiewicz
is the SDL Atlas European Technical Officer.
He serves as an active committee member of the British Standards Institute (BSI)
committee TCI/24, Physical Testing of Textiles and as a committee member of the
United Kingdom Textile Laboratory Forum (UKTLF). Additionally, he is a member of
the Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC), ASTM International- Committee D13
Textiles, a senior member of AATCC and serves as a member of the UK delegation
to ISO/TC38, Textiles. He has been involved in the development of EN standards
and technical reports as a working group member in CEN/TC248, Textiles. He is
also a member of the Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC).
Mr.
Fred Cheng
is the
General Manager – HK & Overseas of SDL Atlas Ltd. HK. He graduated from Hong
Kong Polytechnic with discipline in Chemical Technology, and has been working in
the testing equipment field for many different industries for more than 20
years.
